Karla Goncalves
The Good Catholic Life is observing Labor Day and in the meantime we are bringing you this encore presentation of an interview with our own Karla Goncalves, who worked with us on TGCL for our first 520 shows until leaving earlier this summer in preparation for entering religious life. We discuss her upbringing in Brazil, moving to the United States, the culture shock of attending college in Appalachian Kentucky, her decision to pursue a graduate degree in religious communications, coming to work at the Archdiocese of Boston, and hearing the call to religious life as a Cistercian nun at Mount St. Mary’s Abbey in Wrentham.
